The best cheese curds in Omaha, maybe Nebraska?! The downtown location is our go to date night dinner spot before a show at the Orpheum since it's a quick 5 minute walk! There's tons of parking around it that are meters. They have tons of local beer to choose from and is decently large inside, tables booths, and bar seating. Service was great this last time and every time we have gone. Food always comes out quick, hot and correct!
I was expecting a typical bar/pub experience. Tap House surprised me. They have a large variety of specialty burgers as well as a build-your-own option. They also boast multiple styles of cheese curds. Pick one or two for the table. I had the mac and cheese burger. It was good, but a big mess. Two other specialty burgers were ordered and everyone was happy. Gluten free. Also worth noting: one of our party has a gluten intolerance, and Tap House has GF buns and a separate GF fryer. Bet helpful and considerate. Solid experience for all.
Loved stopping in here in a cold December day with an extensive menu of beers, wings, and cheese curds! Our server so down to earth and friendly! It felt like a homey spot and lots of TVs to catch a game while enjoying some fresh cheese curds.
Back again after a wonderful evening with Boney James at the Steelhouse. With one hour til close we opt for the chicken nachos which has become one of our favorite. We've tried chicken nachos at various locations and OTH ranks top on my list. Our server was attentive and our entree quite enjoyable. Hopefully the updated photo receives some likes.
I will rave about these cheese curds until the day i die. They have 4 (i think?) different styles of cheese curds and you cannot go wrong with any of them. The burgers are pretty good too. Not my absolute favorite in Omaha, but good. My friend got their wings, which were pretty good too. Nothing special about them, but good. They do get really busy, especially on weekends, so definitely join the waitlist if you can!! Their waiting area is also TINY, so the wait isn't great with its busy.
When in Omaha right, no clue just made that up BUT we stopped into Omaha Tap House while on our annual Mother/Daughter trip. We had intentions of staying but due to scheduling it became and order and make it to go please. The atmosphere was a normal Tap House and since we had the girls it might have been a bit overwhelming for them. Seemed like the place to be though for adults. We ordered hamburgers, our waitress was very accommodating with our changes. I thought the food was good and hit the spot. Definitely give it a try if your in the area
Stopped in here before heading to the airport. The bartender was very friendly and there were a lot of beer options. I opted for a burger which was very filling.
I took my daughter-in-law to Tap House as a first timer for happy hour. OK we never on a lot. The chicken nachos were fire, the fried pickles were good, the onion rings were cooked for perfection but the cheese curds were out of this world. The GM Martina came over to our table to see how we were doing. She greeted us with the warmest smile, played with my granddaughter Jaide. She made the place feel like home.
What a dive! When we walked in on a Friday night, it was packed...and for a good reason! Casual, typical sports bar ambiance. Great service and delicious food and drinks. Our water cups were always filled, servers gave us enough attention without being intrusive, price was just right. Only complaint was that the brussel sprouts were not as cooked soft as we would generally like. They were crispy, just had a bit of a bite to them. The burgers were so large though, I'd recommend just skipping the appetizers altogether. Cajun fries are an absolute MUST. Best Cajun fries that I've had, period. My berry burger was like nothing that I have ever tasted before but I loved the sweet and salty combo. The blue cheese burger was interestingly soft and juicy, my partner compared it to biting into a beefy pot pie. He loved it though and was sad he couldn't finish it all because the portions are huge. The takeaway? No apps, order the Cajun fries, the burgers are delicious.
